These Terms govern your use of www.rekaizen.co and your engagement of Rekaizen Solutions ("Rekaizen", "we", "us") for any service we offer — design consultation, 3D rendering, custom carpentry, furniture trading or installation. By using this website or engaging us, you agree to these Terms.
1. About us
Rekaizen Solutions is a Malaysian business registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) under registration number PG0532780-W, with its principal place of business at 7A, Jalan 4/1A, Seksyen 4, 43650 Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. References to "Client", "you" or "your" mean the individual or entity engaging our services.
2. Use of this website
You may browse our website for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not:
- Copy, republish or redistribute our content — text, images, renders, designs or technical drawings — without our written permission.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its underlying systems.
- Submit false, misleading or harmful information through our contact form.
All content, branding and intellectual property on this site is owned by Rekaizen Solutions unless otherwise stated.
3. Enquiries and quotations
Quotations issued by Rekaizen are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated on the quotation itself. A quotation does not constitute a binding contract until both parties confirm acceptance in writing (email or signed letter of acceptance) and any required deposit has been received in cleared funds.
4. Engagement and deposit
For build, supply or installation work, we typically require a deposit of 30%–50% of the agreed contract value before fabrication or procurement begins. The exact deposit amount will be stated in your quotation. Work commences once cleared funds are received.
5. Scope, variations and timelines
- The scope of work, materials and timeline will be set out in the quotation or contract document signed by both parties.
- Any change requested after the scope is signed off (a "variation") will be quoted separately and may affect both cost and timeline.
- Indicative timelines are estimates based on normal supply and site conditions. Delays caused by force majeure (Section 12), late Client decisions, supplier shortages or site access issues are not within our control.
6. Payment terms
- Payment milestones are stated in each quotation. A common structure is deposit on engagement, progress payment at an agreed milestone, and balance on handover.
- Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late payment may incur an administrative charge of 1.5% per month on outstanding balances and may suspend further work until the account is settled.
- All amounts are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) unless otherwise stated. Where Sales and Service Tax (SST) applies, it will be itemised separately.
7. Intellectual property
- All concepts, sketches, drawings, 3D renders and design documents we produce remain the intellectual property of Rekaizen Solutions until full payment has been received for the relevant scope.
- On full payment, the Client receives a non-exclusive licence to use the deliverables for the project they were created for. Re-use of the deliverables for a different project, or onward licensing to third parties, requires our prior written consent.
- We reserve the right to feature the completed work — including photographs and renders — in our portfolio, marketing materials and case studies, unless you request otherwise in writing before engagement.
- Materials, brand assets or plans provided by the Client remain the Client's property and will be used only for the purposes of the engagement.
8. Warranty
- We warrant that our custom carpentry and installation work will be free from defects in workmanship for 12 months from the date of handover, under normal residential or commercial use.
- The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accident, alteration or repair by third parties, water damage, natural movement of solid timber, or normal wear and tear.
- For traded furniture, gadgets and third-party products, the manufacturer's warranty applies. We will assist with manufacturer warranty claims where practical.
9. Cancellation
- Before fabrication or procurement begins: deposits are refundable less any design or consultation work already performed, charged at our standard rates.
- After fabrication or procurement has begun: deposits are non-refundable, and additional costs may apply for completed work, custom-ordered materials and re-stocking fees charged by suppliers.
10. Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of an engagement is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the specific scope of work giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of business, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of expected savings.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
11. Confidentiality
Each party will keep confidential any non-public information shared during an engagement — including briefs, drawings, pricing and business information — except where disclosure is required by law, by a regulator, or to fulfil the engagement itself (for example to sub-contractors or suppliers strictly on a need-to-know basis).
12. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform — or delay in performing — its obligations caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, civil unrest, government orders, supply-chain failures, strikes or epidemics. The affected party will notify the other promptly and the parties will agree on a reasonable extension or, if performance becomes impossible for an extended period, terminate the engagement on fair terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Selangor, Malaysia.
14. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For ongoing engagements, the version in force at the date your quotation was accepted continues to apply, unless both parties agree in writing to adopt a newer version.
